The 6L6 was the first ever successful beam-power tetrode introduced by RCA in 1936. Suffixes relate to later modifications. The Golden Dragon 6L6GC Premium is a superb example manufactured by JSC Svetlana, St. Petersburg, Russia, before testing and matching at the PM Valve Labs in the UK.
